My daughter Savannah & I met Barbara Josse, author of one of our favorite children’s books–“I Love You the Purplest.” When our children ask, “Mommy, who do you love the most?”, we are momentarily tongue-tied. How can we answer this question? We love and cherish them in unique ways. Author, Josse finds a beautiful and heartfelt answer. She points out two children’s distinct attributes with lush descriptions of the multi-faceted ways the primary colors, blue and red appear in nature. Reading this book as a family helped give voice to a concept, an emotion that is difficult to put into words. My children, Caleb and Savannah know they are loved for who they are as individuals. We love each other ‘The Purplest’.
